GeForce 6150 mini round-up [Roundup, sudhian]
A couple of months ago NVIDIA launched their first K8 chipsets with
integrated graphics capabilities?GeForce 6100, 6150 and nForce 410, 430.
Our initial evaluation was of the Biostar T-Force 6100-939, an
enthusiast targeted mATX motherboard that featured the base GeForce 6100
and nForce 410 combination. GeForce 6100 motherboards were available at
immediately after the launch announcement but GeForce 6150 & nForce 430
based boards were nowhere to be found. After an approximate month-long
delay 6150 boards started showing up at retailers and at our
doors?although with a limited selection. Wed, 14 Dec, 2005 | 54 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Gigabyte GA-G1975X motherboard [Review, Hexus]
Gigabyte has
decided that overclocking should play a large part in the GA-G1975X's
makeup, and a couple of plastic ducts are designed and implemented to
cool the hot-running components in and around the CPU socket area. Wed, 14 Dec, 2005 | 22 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail

Albatron Mars PX915SLI Intel 915PL SLI Motherboard Review [Review, PCStats]
nVidia's Scalable Link Interface (SLI), just three little words that until recently have separated top of the line graphics performance, and AMD and Intel platforms. Albatron is one of the more innovative motherboard manufacturers, and its team of engineers has actually figured out a way of running SLI on the budget Intel 915PL chipset! We will get into how the 915PL is turned into an SLI chipset in just a moment. Since the Albatron PX915SLI is based on the Intel 915PL chipset, the motherboard only supports Socket 775 Pentium 4 processors that run on a 533/800 MHz FSB. The two DIMM slots will handle a maximum of 2GB of PC3200 DDR RAM which will run in a dual channel configuration. Thu, 01 Dec, 2005 | 5 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Epox 8NPA SLI Motherboard Review [Review, PCStats]
With an nForce4 SLI chipset hidden below that golden heatsink, the Epox 8NPA SLI supports all Socket 754 Athlon64 or Sempron processors on the market. The green motherboard only comes equipped with two DIMM slots and supports a maximum of 2GB of PC3200 DDR memory. Other onboard goodies, some new to Socket 754 are nVIDIA's Serial ATA II RAID controller, Gigabit LAN, and 5.1 channel audio. My personal favorite is the Port 80 diagnostics card. Expansion possibilities are numerous with the boards two legacy 32 bit PCI slots, two PCI Express x1 slots for high bandwidth devices, and two physical PCI Express x16 slots for dual videocard goodness! Epox have certainly built a lean green motherboard here. Thu, 01 Dec, 2005 | 9 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Foxconn WinFast 761GXK8MC-S Motherboard Review [Review, PCStats]
The Foxconn WinFast 761GXK8MC-S motherboard we're testing out in the course of this review is based upon a new chipset from SiS which has a couple media-friendly assets. The SiS 761GX chipset includes SiS' Mirage 1 graphics core, accessible through the analog video jack nestled into with all the other motherboard inputs/outputs. The SIS chipset is being positioned as a good alternative to the nVidia 6100 series IGPs which recently launched. Elsewhere on the WinFast 761GXK8MC-S motherboard are two DDR memory sockets for up to a maximum of 2GB of PC3200 DDR memory. The microATX board includes one PCI Express x16 slot and three 32 bit PCI slots. Thu, 01 Dec, 2005 | 8 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
DFI Infinity NF4 Ultra [Review, overclockersonline]
The DFI Infinity nF4 Ultra is a very solid motherboard. The build
quality is great and the components that are used are top notch and seem to
be almost the same as the LanParty Ultra-D. I have basically compared these
two motherboards throughout the review and have come to the conclusion that
the Infinity nF4 Ultra is almost the same model but without the options or
accessory package. Call it the base model if you will with the LanParty
Ultra-D being the GT or Type-R version that has slightly better performance
and more buttons. Tue, 29 Nov, 2005 | 14 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Epox 5NVA+ SLI NF4 Intel Edition Motherboard Review [Review, pcstats]
Motherboards like the Epox 5NVA+ SLI support Socket 775 533/800/1066 MHz FSB Pentium 4/D/Extreme Edition as well as Celeron D processors. The four DIMM slots can accommodate up to 8GB of unbuffered non ECC DDR2 memory running at 400/533/667 MHz, while operating in dual channel mode with 1.8V.
Epox also bundles a few on board goodies with the board such as Gigabit LAN, a 7.1 audio controller, IEEE 1394 and my personal favorite a Port 80 diagnostics card. If you need something the motherboard does not support, there are two free PCI Express x1 slots (three if you count the second PCI Express x16 slot when only running one videocard) and two open 32 bit PCI slots for legacy hardware. Of course, we must not overlook the two PCI Express x16 slots which will support SLI set-ups with the appropriate videocards either! Albatron nForce4 K8SLI [Review, Bjorn3D]
But what if you have one of those and want to in a cheap way increase the
graphics performance? NVIDIA has the solution with SLI. Pop in a second card
and in theory get double the performance.
Today I am looking at one of the cheaper SLI-capable motherboards on the
market, the K8SLI from Albatron. Sun, 20 Nov, 2005 | 5 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Gigabyte K8N51GMF-9 nForce 430/GeForce 6100 Mainboard [Review, Hexus]
What you get for £52 is a solid board with very few surprises
that's good for a multitude of uses. Voltage manipulation in BIOS,
better subsystem performance, and, perhaps, a sweeter bundle would
garner the Gigabyte K8N51GMF-9 an instant recommendation in the
budget sector. As it is, it's decent but not outstanding, although
you could do a lot worse than the K8N51GMF-9 if your budget stretches
to only £50 or so and you require a S939 motherboard with onboard
video and decent storage potential. Sun, 20 Nov, 2005 | 26 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Sapphire Pure Innovation PI-A9RX480 Motherboard [Review, PimpRig]
Tell me, isn't that one of the purdiest boards you've seen seen since the Soyo Dragon KT400
Platinum? I "borrowed" the full board pics from Sapphire since the top is pretty reflective and
honestly, their shot looks better than any that I took of the full top. I think I would have to
cut a window in the motherboard tray and right side of the case just to show off the nice
Sapphire logo on the bottom of the board. Wed, 16 Nov, 2005 | 6 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Epox EP-9NPA+ SLI Motherboard Review [Review, PCStats]
The Epox 9NPA+ SLI supports any current and future socket 939 AMD Athlon64 processor and is based on the Nvidia nForce4 SLI chipset with support for up to 4GB of PC3200 DDR memory. We will get into the specifics a bit later but on board goodies consist of Gigabit LAN, IEEE 1394a, 7.1 channel audio and an additional Serial ATA II/RAID controller. A set of nice quality rounded cables are bundled in with the package, and we find two sets of IDE cables, and one FDD cable encased in white rubber sleeving. Foxconn WinFast 6150K8MA-8EKRS Motherboard Review [Review, PCStats]
With the release of the nVIDIA's GeForce 6100-series chipsets, enthusiasts now have a high powered integrated option that does not well... suck. Foxconn is one of the first manufacturers to release an GeForce 6100-series motherboard, and the 6150K8MA-8EKRS specifically uses the best of class nVidia GeForce 6150 iteration and nVidia nForce 430 Southbridge. The Foxconn 6150K8MA-8EKRS mini-ATX motherboard which supports all Socket 939 AMD Athlon64 X2/FX processors on the market, as well as up to 4GB of PC3200 DDR RAM. a lot of power. Fri, 11 Nov, 2005 | 9 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
DFI RDX200 Review [Review, tbreak]
A couple of things that we specifically wanted to test was 1T mode with four memory modules and
CAS 1.5 settings however, neither of this worked with our testing. We used Corsair modules and
any two of the four we chose worked without any problems at 1T with two modules inserted, but
with all four modules, this was a no go even with additional voltage. The system simply hung up
on the BIOS. CAS Latency of 1.5 went a little further with us reaching Windows boot screen but
nothing more than that, again, with added voltage as well. Wed, 09 Nov, 2005 | 12 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Foxconn WinFast 6150K8MA Review [Review, tbreak]
We’ve already talked about the integrated video features in the chipset article, but to put it
briefly, you get a SM3.0 capable Direct-X 9.0 GPU with PureVideo technology. FoxConn has a DSUB
connector on the back panel and an S-Video TV-Out cable is included in the package, however,
the header for connecting the TV-Out module is missing. Wed, 09 Nov, 2005 | 17 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail

The WinFast 6150K8MA-8EKRS is a budget friendly motherboard packed with advanced media and storage features native to NVIDIA's GeForce 6150 and nForce 430 chipset. It's not the fastest motherboard around, but HTPC aficionados take notice, PureVideo HD decoding is what it aims to deliver. Wed, 09 Nov, 2005 | 17 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
