  • ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe (NVIDIA nForce4 SLI X16)   [Review, hardwarezone]
ASUS takes a go at the nForce4 SLI X16 chipset and comes out looking like a champ not because it carries the most features, but because of its impeccable design. In the midst of the rat race comes a gaming motherboard designed to deliver stability first.

  • ECS KA1 MVP   [Review, overclockersonline]
With all of that said I think the ECS KA1 MVP is a very solid motherboard for a wide range of people. If you are in possession of a pair of ATI CrossFire ready video cards then you will surely want to have a peek at the KA1 MVP because it certainly performs and has rock solid stability with plenty of "umph" to give your system that extra little boost.

  • nForce4 SLI vs SLI X16   [Article, tbreak]
We initially started out by conducting tests at only 0X and 4X AA however we really didnt see any difference at all. We contacted nVidia about this and they suggested doing tests using 8X and 16X AA and thus we went back and benched all four games using that setting as well. Besides Quake4, we really do not see the X16 posting higher results in anything else. In fact, Serious Sam 2 and Call of Duty 2 consistently showed the older nForce4 SLI performaing better in most of the benchmarks.

  • ECS PF22 Extreme (Intel 955X Express + CrossFire)   [Review, hardwarezone]
ECS is another vendor to hop onto some ATI CrossFire action with the PF22 Extreme. This board is high on features, offers better performance than the mid-range PF5 Extreme and most importantly, CrossFire compatibility on the cheap. Don't miss this review.

  • MSI K8N Diamond Plus   [Review, tbreak]
The original Diamond board was one of the first, if not the first motherboard to utilize the Creative Sound Blaster Live audio controller onboard. Continuing with that tradition, MSI equips the Diamond Plus with an Audigy controller- again a first for a board to hit our labs. Sound quality is further enhanced with the usage of the Cooler Master Musketeer III that uses the vacuum tube technology to filter the sound. Unfortunately, the vacuum tube only provides filtering for two channels- a bummer if you’re planning on using a four, six or eight speaker system.

  • MSI RD480 Neo2   [Review, tbreak]
We like the arrangement of the PCI slots- MSI puts plenty of gap between the two x16 slots to easily accommodate dual slot cards, while two x1 and two 32-bit PCI slots are also present to handle your expansion cards.

  • ECS KN2 SLI Motherboard   [Review, tbreak]
The idea behind ECS' S.D.G.E. was to allow the Northbridge to sit on a separate card and thus possibly allow either a CrossFire or an SLI solution on the same board. This might’ve worked with the original nF4 SLI that was a single chip solution, however with the X16, the Southbridge provides additional PCI-E lanes and we doubt it would be possible for ECS to stick an ATI chipset on the S.D.G.E card and expect this board to work in a CrossFire solution.

  • Foxconn NF4SLI7AA-8EKRS2   [Review, overclockersonline]
What else is left to say? I think this is seriously the best Intel motherboard I've used in years now. I think a lot of the benefit comes from nVidia's nForce4 chipset, but if you've ever used any variant of nVidia's chipsets you'll feel very comfortable knowing that the same quality and direction towards the enthusiast is still there.

  • ASRock 775i915P-SATA2 (Intel 915P Express + ATI CrossFire)   [Review, hardwarezone]
ASRock's claim to fame is a budget motherboard that is based on the matured Intel 915P Express chipset, but is able to work with ATI CrossFire technology right out of the box. With stable performance, decent CrossFire gains and a low price, this board is worth a look or two.

  • ECS RS480-M Motherboard   [Review, overclockersonline]
The RS480-M has turned out to be an impressive little work machine capable of doing more if you put in the money for a good video card. While the ATi Xpress 200 chipset is still relatively new, the abundance of people moving over to micro ATX makes it an ideal choice for SFF/HTPC machines. This is exactly where the RS480 fits in. Despite only having the power of an X300, you won't notice any problems while watching your favorite movie. Where the RS480-M can improve on is being bundled with VIVO, or at least TV-Out.

  • Gigabyte G1-975X and ASUS P5N32-SLI Shootout   [Review, tbreak]
Today we take a look at two motherboards for the Pentium platform that are being targeted as gaming boards. Yes, we know that sounds a bit of an oxymoron considering that AMD CPUs hold the performance crown in games at the moment, however, that doesn’t stop two of the biggest motherboard manufacturers from releasing and packaging them as gaming boards. With us today, we have the Gigabyte G1-975X based on the Intel 975X chipset and the ASUS P4N32-SLI Deluxe based on the nVidia nForce X16 chipset.

  • Asus A8N-VM CSM GeForce 6150 Motherboard Review   [Review, PCStats]
The Asus A8N-VM CSM motherboard looks like the perfect workstation/HTPC motherboard at first glance; onboard graphics with analog and DVI-D monitor outputs, and nVidia PureVideo High Definition MPEG-2/WMV9 Playback acceleration. The A8N-VM CSM supports all Socket 939 AMD Athlon64/FX/X2 processors on the market, and is built around two recent nVidia chipsets, the NVIDIA GeForce 6150 & nForce 430. At the back of the Asus A8N-VM CSM are four USB2.0 ports, three audio headers, the Gigabit network and Firewire jacks, and Analog and DVI-D ports which connect directly to the Geforce 6 GPU.

  • DFI nF4 SLI-DR Expert   [Review, tbreak]
DFI has also added some space between the two PCI-E x16 slots which is also good in two ways. Firstly, it allows more room between the VGA cards and secondly there is enough space between the slots to not allow either of the Video cards to be over the chipset fan. This was a problem with the original board where the graphics cards game right above the chipset fan and if you weren’t careful, the card could actually touch the fan and block it from spinning.

  • EPoX EP-5LDA+ GLi   [Review, overclockersonline]
I have to say that this outing with EPoX was nice. The board really sets itself apart from EPoX's typical green PCB styling and offers those concerned with aesthetics an attractive product. The performance is all EPoX though, and their reputation for great reputation hasn't failed them in this product. While we weren't able to push the chipset (it officially supports a 1066 FSB), the stability this board was able to offer over previous boards I've used from MSI and Albatron using the same processor was excellent and allowed a much higher CPU frequency to be achieved.

  • ECS KA1 MVP Extreme Motherboard   [Review, tbreak]
For some strange reason, the four SATA ports powered by the Southbridge sit right below the two PCI-E x16 slots and putting in a long card such as the 7800GTX or the x1800 blocks access to them. Right next to these connectors is a silver plate with the ECS Extreme logo and we think that ECS should’ve swapped places of these SATA connectors with the plate.
