  • Gigabyte 7NNXP nFORCE 2   [Review, Guru3d]
When we first saw the mainboard we where simply exhilarated by the looks of it. The 7NNXP dear people is not 'just' another mainboard, this is a Swiss Knife among mainboards. It has so many features that it's hard to sum it up from my memory.

  • Gigabyte GA-7VT600 KT600 Motherboard   [Review, Hardcoreware]
Okay, let's forget that the KT400a ever happened. Moving right along to the KT600, VIA is hoping to produce a low cost solution to compete with the NFORCE2 chipset. Going with a single channel memory controller will help keep costs down, and as we've seen in the past, dual channel doesn't give a huge performance boost on AMD CPU's right now anyway.

ASUS launches a KT600 motherboard loaded with features at a very attractive price. nForce2 Ultra 400 has won the Performance battle, but will ASUS tempt you to open your wallet with an Athlon board complete with Gigabit LAN, a Wi-Fi slot, and Serial ATA RAID?

  • Gigabyte SiS 648FX   [Review, Hothardware]
Rob has served up his impressions for us tonight, of a new SiS648FX Motherboad from Gigabyte. The SiS648FX Chipset for the Pentium 4, offers support for an 800MHz FSB, AGP8X and Hyperthreading. However, what it lacks is Dual DDR support. This board is definitely targeted to the mainstream or value market segment but can it compete with the likes of Springdale? Go see!.

  • VIA KT600 Board Roundup!   [Roundup, Legionhardware]
The KT600 chipset was officially launched on the 13th of May 2003 and already boards are starting to materialize everywhere. As you would expect the majority of manufacturers that offered a KT400A board will be producing a similar product based on the KT600 chipset. Today I will be looking at a number of these boards from quite a few high profile manufacturers. The list includes ASUS, EPoX, Gigabyte, MSI and Soltek all of which produced a KT400A board.

  • FIC 875P Dynasty   [Review, Mbreview]
This time, we're taking a look at FIC's i875P offering, the 875P-MAX, otherwise known as the 875P Dynasty. This board takes a step away from FIC's typical bland motherboard designs sporting a bright red PCB, tri-color LED fan, and more. The performance is close to that of higher end motherboards, so those of you looking for decent performance on a budget might want to take a good look at this board.

  • ASUS A7V600, VIA KT600 + VT8237 (SATA)   [Review, Lostcircuits]
After leading a wallflower existence over the past few months, VIA is back to challenge the nVidia dominance in the Socket A domain. A redesigned memory controller capable of withstanding more than 230 MHz operating frequency along with expanded USB 2.0 capacity and finally the native Serial ATA support, including SATA RAID 0 and RAID 1 are amongst the high-lights of the new platform. Integrated network capabilities have been around for some time in VIA's South Bridges, as has sound but the latest Vinyl Audio has made some splash all over the web.

  • FIC AU13 NFORCE2 Ultra 400   [Review, Ocaddiction]
Today we are going to look at FIC 's entry in the nForce2 ring, the AU13 Chameleon Max. Based on the newer Crush 18D chipset that performed quite well in the ABIT NF7-S V2.0 review, the AU13 has a pretty tall order to fill. FIC is pretty diverse as to the products they offer (Graphics cards, motherboards, pc systems and internet devices), so let's see what they have to offer on the venerable nForce2 platform. The predecessor to the AU13, the AU11, was met with some praise, but lacked some of the features that most boards on the market today have, mainly onboard SATA. Well with the AU13, FIC giveth, and taketh away as well, but more on that later...

The LeadTek WinFast K7NCR18D-Pro II motherboard, an nForce2 chipset board is just begging to put into your system. This board should last you the rest of the Athlon life, and at the very least serve as an excellent means of upgrading your AMD platform systems.

  • MSI865PE Neo2 versus Gigabyte 8KNXP   [Roundup, Digital Daily]
In this review, we'll be rounding up two motherboards built on different chipsets: i875P and i865PE. Normally, such comparisons are made to find distinctions between chipsets both at performance and functionality. A typical example of such a roundup is the comparison ASRock K7S8XE (SiS748) versus Soltek 75FRN2L ( nForce II). In our case, the boards based on the i875P and i865PE chipsets fall within the same group. This is despite the fact that Intel initially positioned the i875P Canterwood for high-end systems and workstations, with the i865PE Springdale for the mainstream systems.

Through my testing of this particular motherboard, the system was unreliable, the BIOS couldn't be updated and would reset itself when ever it wanted, the SATA would not work through the southbridge and the overclocking and overall performance was substandard when compared to an equally equipped motherboard from another manufacturer.
