OCZ PC3200 EL DDR 400 memory [Review, Overclockercafe]
The last stick of OCZ memory we had here was the PC3200 Extended Latency RAM which impressed up to no end. In an effort to build on to its success, OCZ has put out a "Platinum" version of their PC3200 RAM. The difference is, the Platinum version sports, as they phrase it, "hand picked" 4.5ns OCZ memory chips. I'm not exactly sure what hand picked means since the only hand picking I can do is with apples. But let's take a look at what we have here to see if the Platinum version is hype or not. Let's start out with the specs. Mon, 14 Jul, 2003 | 164 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail

Memory Market Overview: July 2003 [Article, Xbitlabs]
It is a pretty rare situation, when the major topic of the month is not an event or new technology or highlife tendency, but just the prices. Memory prices. We are going to analyze the situation in the today’s memory market to see what’s going on and what we could expect in the future. Sat, 12 Jul, 2003 | 19 Click(s) | Detail
OCZ PC3700 EL "Gold" [Review, Lostcircuits]
Wafer-based packaging are just a few of the new features that belong into Glittertown. And then there are "Gold" heatspreaders, proprietary ICs at lightning speed and way faster than what any of the DRAM manufacturers produce.
We went out and bought the OCZ PC3700 256 MB EL DDR Dual Gold CH. Then, once again, we did the "Frank Perdue" and took it all off, skinless, boneless at its juiciest. Fri, 11 Jul, 2003 | 34 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail

Mushkin PC3500 [Review, Thecrucible]
At ~$75 USD for a 256MB module, it is fairly expensive, as some less revered manufacturers sell 512MB modules for close to the same price. With fairly conservative timings (Mushkin rates these modules at 2.5-4-4 and does not specify a tRAS or command rate) some may even consider the product to be excessive, designer memory - worth not much more than the fancy black PCB and the name Mushkin in your list of components. After looking at these modules, however, this is not the case. I will digress here as I am getting ahead of myself... Wed, 02 Jul, 2003 | 204 Click(s) | Detail

Mushkin EMS PC3500 Memory [Review, Hexus]
The Mushkin module, it seems, is geared towards the all-important 2-2-2 timings. The low latency nature extends to DDR-434 speeds, where it was able to run at 2-7-2-2 timings, albeit with a bit of extra voltage. A little tongue in cheek, but I feel as if this module should have been called Mushkin PC3200LLLV (low latency, low voltage).

CORSAIR TWINX (2x 256MB XMS3200LL) [Review, Hexus]
The TWINX memory kit tested here is impressive, but it's not cheap. Retailing at around £155, you should only invest if you really like pushing and tweaking your system. If you consider that everyday Twinmos 256MB PC3200 CL2.5 can be had for less than £40 a module, giving you 2 x 256MB of PC3200 for less than £80, the £155 asking price seems a little steep. Of course, you don't expect the extremely low latencies and matched guarantee of the TWINX pack, but I'd only spend the extra if I was really pushing my system. Priced at around £155 for the 2 x 256MB pack and £295 for the 2x 512MB pack, it's not cheap, but quality never is. Recommended to enthusiasts. Thu, 27 Feb, 2003 | 85 Click(s) | Detail

PC600 800 1066 and PC3200 4200 Rambus DRAM [Review, Digit Life]
The dominance of the DDR memory standard which has the best support in the today's industry (at least, regarding the number of products) can create an impression that RDRAM will soon sink into oblivion. But in reality the standard is developing, and lately we got three new versions of Rambus DRAM - PC1066, PC3200 and PC4200. What do they differ from each other and from PC600 and PC800? The simplest way to learn the genealogy of the new models is to describe the differences from the old solutions. Tue, 28 Jan, 2003 | 24 Click(s) | Detail
OCZ EL DDR PC-3500 Memory [Review, Hexus]
The beauty of super-fast, low latency memory is that it will run at high frequencies with aggressive timings. The benchmarks used for evaluating the OCZ EL PC-3500 showed just what an increase one can attain from running a) memory at 217MHz+ and b) running it at tight timings. Our OCZ module allowed us to run at 217MHz at 2-7-2-2 (enhanced) with a small increase in voltage. The benchmarks certainly appreciated it.
