Pentium 4 With Dual DDR500 Running At 1000 MHz FSB [Article, Tomshardware]
Corsair, Kingston and OCZ Technology already supply DDR memory with clock speeds up to 500-MHz, which provides us with enough of an excuse to run the new modules through a few hoops. But in addition to a new DDR 500-MHz memory upgrade, what can the Pentium 4 do with a 1 GHz FSB? Wed, 13 Aug, 2003 | 130 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Kingston HyperX PC4000 512MB DDR Memory Kit [Review, Bytesector]
The two sticks are supposed to reach speeds of DDR500 (500 MHz) or what is known as PC4000. The two sticks are enclosed in blue aluminum heat-sinks to help disperse heat. The sticks run at 500 under a CAS Latency setting of 3. (3-4-4-8-1 timings), which is really not impressive at all, but running at a speed of 500 is what interests us to test it..... Intelforums Corsair TwinX512-4000 DDR Review
"For people running an Intel-based platform, the TwinX512 PC4000 represents the cutting edge (and ideal) memory solution for those looking for maximum performance. For those running AMD-based systems, it may not be as clear-cut a choice, as the Nforce2 platform was only able to take this memory to near-pc3500 levels, at 219MHz. Corsair TwinX XMS PC3700 [Review, Subzerotech]
If you are reading this review then chances are you are in the market for some non-generic memory to make your CPU and system happy. The product in question is the latest TwinX module set from Corsair, a company that many have come to know and trust. This review puts the memory to the test with the DFI Lanparty 875 PRO…a motherboard in my experience that has booted with a front side bus of 305 MHz! Crucial DDR PC3200 RAM [Review, Systemcooling]
In today’s review we will focus on Crucial’s fastest memory, DDR PC3200 256MB. It will not only show you that you can achieve great stability at default speeds but also attain respectable overclocking results, which Crucial does not support or warrant their product for. Crucial DDR PC3200 [Review, Gruntville]
As you can see the memory performed quite well in its stock configuration and benefited only slightly by a little tweaking of the timings. One unexpected result was the declining SYSmark score. I ran these tests several times and they were all plagued by this strange outcome. Seeing as SYSmark is a much more multifaceted, real world benchmark, I’m inclined to believe that the performance really does drop with the adjusted timings. This would also explain Crucial’s decision to classify the modules as CL3... Tue, 05 Aug, 2003 | 62 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Corsair XMS3500c2 [Review, Gruntville]
We’ll be testing out 2 sticks of Corsair XMS (Xtreme Memory Speed) PC3500C2. The C2 on the end stands for CAS 2. We’ll be running it at various speeds and letting you know just what it can do. I’m sure many of you’re aware of the seemingly unattainable Front Side Bus (fsb) speeds being talked about around the community. I can guarantee that those weren’t reached using “Bob’s RAM”, mainly because there is no such thing. None the less, you know it wasn’t with generic modules. We go into this review expecting to see the best and with little doubt, we’ll finish with the same feeling. Mon, 04 Aug, 2003 | 98 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
OCZ 512MB PC4000 [Review, Mbreview]
Hey everyone, it's been a while since we last took a look at some high quality RAM, and today we have a new review for you of OCZ's upcoming 512MB PC4000 EL Dual-Channel Kit! There have been numerous problems reported around the internet dealing with what motherboards will and won't support this new speed grade of RAM. Several major manufacturers are working on BIOS updates to support these blistering RAM speeds, but we'll see how fast they can get out of the door. This RAM offers up some nice overclocking and performance, but it's also a beta module so performance could change. Interested? Mon, 04 Aug, 2003 | 126 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Corsair TwinX1024 DDR500 / PC4000 [Review, Subzerotech]
For anyone running a Pentium 4 based system with an 875 or 865 chipset you know that the primary hindrance to any sort of massive overclock is of course the memory speed. That is unless you are some poor unfortunate soul missing out because you own an Intel board that has a small percentage of overclock functionality primarily gained by the hardly substantial “burn in” feature. For the rest of us we all know that 200 MHz memory, or DDR400, or PC3200 just is not enough for our boards. Sat, 02 Aug, 2003 | 157 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Kingmax DDR-433 (PC3500) Memory [Review, TweakTown]
Kingmax Technology is not a memory manufacturer who is known for enthusiast style RAM. They are more so a company who produces memory which performs well and does not cost an arm and a leg. Soon the Taiwanese-based company will release their DDR-433 "performance" modules but before that we were given the chance to test them exclusively and see what they have to offer. Remember DDR? [Article, Ipkonfig]
Well, we're not saying that just yet; DDR is the latest bestest RAM memory technology available. We got here by making baby steps in the clock speed of individual memory cells, increasing bus data rates, and using multiples of those rates. But the CPU is still waiting on memory access. It really looks like the current memory technologies will never "catch up" to the feed needs of processors... Fri, 25 Jul, 2003 | 21 Click(s) | Detail

OCZ EL DDR PC3700 Gold [Review, Legitreviews]
The OCZ memory carries a lifetime warranty, just like every other brand of top brand memory. I have had reasons in the past to use their RMA process, and I can say that it was nothing short of stellar. They treated me fantastic, and sent my replacement out quickly. In fact, they actually upgraded the bad memory to their newest release at the time. OCZ has taken a lot of heat in the past, but they are working very hard to make customers happy and satisfied. They should be commended for that. Fri, 18 Jul, 2003 | 46 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
TwinX4000 Faq [Article, Ipkonfig]
Many, if not most, platforms popular with enthusiasts today are designed for dual memory channels. Our lab testing revealed to us that modules that run at 500 MHz as individual DIMMs will not necessarily run at 500 MHz when configured as pairs in dual channel systems. XMS4000 modules are tested at 500 MHz, in pairs, in Intel® 875P-based dual channel motherboards, but will run significantly faster as a single module. Kingston KTA-PBG4/512 [Review, Envynews]
In this review, we take a Titanium PowerBook G4 notebook with a respectable 512MB of memory, and jack it up to 1GB of RAM with a Kingston 512MB PC133 SO-DIMM. How much impact does a 512MB to 1024MB memory increase bring to this Mac OS X laptop, and are these gains in any way significant to justify its purchase?
