  • Samsung 171P LCD   [Review, Extensiontech]
I just want to note that Samsung seems to be keeping the tradition of a 25ms pixel response time with this LCD monitor. That isn’t too bad, but I’d actually like to see it be cut down to 16ms as some of the competitors are doing. I don’t mind the difference, but I know some gamers swear by a pixel response time of 16ms, so a transition to 16ms for at least some of the higher end LCD monitors may help out Samsung.

The 20-ms line has now been crossed. And with it, most of the afterglow problem common to flat panels is solved. For our fourth set of comparative tests of the best currently available17-inch monitors, we had two questions to address: can you play games and edit images on them?

  • Infocus X1 Projector   [Review, Digit Life]
If last time we tested an expensive projector named NEC HT1000, this time we have a more universal one - Infocus X1. An attractive price, $1600, and good universality make it suitable both for inexpensive home theaters and for presentations.

  • Hitachi CML174SXW LCD Monitor   [Review, Digit Life]
The LCD monitor with the response time of 25 ms can be used not only for office applications; it performs quite well in dynamic games as well. Images in speedy action games are just a little bit blurred. But technical characteristics of LCD monitors have recently reached a new level. The new monitors sport a record-breaking response time of 16 ms.

  • Samsung SyncMaster 192N   [Review, Hardwarecentral]  Most popular reviews and articles
LCD monitors may have gone mainstream, but friends and coworkers will still cast covetous glances at Samsung's big (19-inch), handsome (sleek slim bezels) display -- and if you ask them to guess its price, they'll pick a number well north of its reasonable $749. Even with one or two cost-cutting compromises, it's one of the classiest flat panels we've seen.

  • Samsung SyncMaster 760v 17" TFT   [Review, Hwextreme]
After quickly opening the contents, I noticed that the packaging was excellent, just as it should be with all products put out by major manufacturers. My initial inspection of the monitor allowed me to admire the 760V's excellent design with an overall sleek and futuristic appearance...

  • LCD 17: Samsung 171N & NEC LCD1760V vs. Everyone Else   [Review, Tomshardware]
Any self-respecting buyer of a 17-inch LCD monitor starts out by making a list of self-respecting monitors. This list would naturally include the Hitachi CML174SXW and the Iiyama AS4314UTG, both of which have been tested by Tom's. But we hadn't yet tested the 171N, a 25 ms, or the LCD1760V, a 16 ms. Well, this is now remedied, and for good measure we've thrown in some general details on LCDs: frequencies, technologies, interfaces, etc.

  • GMX TFT-200 6-inch LCD-TV   [Review, Envynews]
The product in question is the GMX 6-inch LCD-TV – it’s a flat-screened LCD display designed with portability and flexibility in mind. Obvious uses include employing the display in a camper, Winnebago, football/hockey game for the instant replays, in the kitchen for cooking shows, or other zany ideas. However, us being computer nerd types, there are always some better reasons for its existence.

  • WinBook C1900 LCD Monitor   [Review, Hardwarecentral]
How does a company best known for notebooks make its entry into the desktop display market? With a splash -- at under $700, WinBook's 19-inch flat panel is priced below its competition, with handsome design and decent image quality. But while one missing feature may not matter to you, one appealing feature will cost you an extra $50 to use.

  • Hitachi CML174SXW: An LCD Screen to Start the Year With?   [Review, Tomshardware]
Hitachi's new LCD screen pushes the envelope. The response time of the CML174SXW is the fastest of all at only 16 ms! The rest of the characteristics are just as impressive--contrast of 400:1; brightness of 260 cd/sq. m.; 160° angles of vision; etc.

  • ViewSonic P95F+B 19inch Monitor   [Review, Pcstats]
At first glance the flat faced Viewsonic P95f+B appears to have a totally flat inside surface, but with the help of the Light Test we find there is indeed a slight horizontal curve to the inside surface of the screen. We'll get to this in just a second, but first let's have a look at some to the traits which continue to make this professional grade CRT so appealing.
