Dell UltraSharp 2001FP Preview: Gaming LCDs for the Masses [Preview, AnandTech]
It's been a little while since we had a recent LCD review, so we are coming back at you strong with something special. Dell recently unveiled its 2001FP LCD as an exclusive bundle with the Dell XPS workstations. Inevitably, this will be the replacement of Dell's existing 1600x1200 LCD, the 2000FP. Although these units will not be available for retail sales until Q1'04, we have been assured that the monitors shipping with the XPS systems are identical to the retail models next year. AG Neovo E-19A Review [Review, HardwareCentral]
Two years ago, it was a guarantee of boutique style and status to have a flat-panel LCD instead of bulky CRT monitor on your desk. These days, LCD monitors are much more common, but there are still boutique LCD brands -- like AG Neovo, the Taiwanese vendor that joined the U.S. market in the summer of 2002. Back then, we reviewed the company's 19-inch model S-19 and found it tres elegant, but no bargain at $1,300. Sun, 09 Nov, 2003 | 269 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Samsung SyncMaster 213T [Review, EnvyNews]
In the ever changing fast paced world of electronic changes and product refreshes, it has been sometime since I had my hand at reviewing an LCD monitor. With this as the case, it was exciting to hear that once I again I would be able to take a look at how the technology has improved, and what it now has to offer. At the time, I was unaware of what display I would be looking at, and Samsung made my welcome back review, quite a review indeed. Sun, 09 Nov, 2003 | 324 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail

The Samsung SyncMaster 957 MB exhilarates the human eyes beyond imagination and has revolutionized the whole experience of computer entertainment through its innovative features. These features fall under a branch classified as the "Magic Bright Technology". The Samsung SyncMaster offers supreme readability and is capable of reaching a maximum resolution of 1920x1440 @ 64Hz offering a 0.20 mm horizontal pitch. Sub-$1,000 Projector Shootout [Roundup, ExtremeTech]
When we go out to the Multiplex, movies are projected onto a screen, just as they have been since the dawn of the cinematic age. 8mm and 16mm home movie cameras and projectors came into the American home decades ago, but the image quality was poor and grainy and there was no sound -- hardly a cinematic experience. Hercules ProphetView 920 PRO [Review, Hexus]
What's the most important class of components in a PC system? Now really think about that answer for a second, since the obvious answer is wrong. We can extol the virtues of CPU's, memory modules, graphics cards and motherboards until we are blue in the face, and it's criminal that after thinking about the start of this review, this sentence, that HEXUS don't cover more of what really matters. Confused? Wondering what else there is about a PC that's worth caring about, that isn't clocked or has pixel shaders? Wed, 05 Nov, 2003 | 209 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Samsung 173T LCD [Review, Bjorn3d]
It is time to look at another LCD from Samsung. Over the past couple of months we have looked at the 192T and the 172MP. Now we have the 173T. All of these monitors have offered something special about them. 192T was the nice big 19” screen and the 172MP brought us a true multimedia with TV tuner and many inputs. What the 173T brings us is a 17” monitor that can be rotated for working on web pages or desktop publishing. Sat, 01 Nov, 2003 | 277 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Samsung SyncMaster 213T Review [Review, HardwareCentral]
You can say that $1,299 is too much for anyone except a wealthy, status-seeking executive to spend on a monitor, or you can say that such a screen would have cost three times as much just a couple of years ago. It's like seeing the glass as either half empty or half full, except instead of a glass it's your wallet. Sat, 01 Nov, 2003 | 155 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail

Samsung SyncMaster 173T [Review, EnvyNews]
Computer displays have advanced greatly since their inception, in both visual quality and size. I remember not too many years ago when 14” and 15” monitors were the norm, and were insanely expensive. I grew up on a Mac SE. If you remember those, you will remember the TINY black and white display accompanied by the tiny hard drive. Of course, back then, you didn’t need a large drive since most games could be jammed on a few floppy disks. You remember those, right? Hercules ProphetView 920 Pro review [Review, Guru3d]
In todays review, we are to take a closer look at an LCD screen from Hercules, the ProphetView 920 Pro to be precise. Personally I'm a huge fan of LCD screens. I work behind the PC at least 7-8 hours a day, and I don't know if you guys ever get a little blurry/dizzy with CRT monitors when you overdose on PC time but I sure did. So it was about two/three years ago that I bought my first LCD screen. Ever since that moment I just loved it. I can spend way more time behind the PC right now and do not have any weird complaints anymore. Wed, 15 Oct, 2003 | 381 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail

BroMagic 17” DVI LCD Monitor Review [Review, TweakTown]
About three years ago we all would have loved to be an owner of a brand new LCD monitor but with retail prices the way they were it was just not viable. Now LCDs are becoming somewhat mainstream, prices have dropped and are becoming an option for most. Today Shawn "Toxic" Baker takes a look at a new competitor in the value section of the LCD market in BroMagic with their 17” DVI-enabled monitor. Does cheap necessarily mean poor quality? Not always! NEC MultiSync LCD1960NX Review [Review, HardwareCentral]
We won't go so far as to compare NEC-Mitsubishi's engineers to Piet Mondrian or Maya Lin, but the NEC MultiSync LCD1960NX sort of reminds us of the kind of art that makes some people say, "Is that it? It's so simple, there's nothing to it." Fri, 03 Oct, 2003 | 116 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Samsung 152MP 15" LCD Monitor [Review, ExplosiveLabs]
Samsung is a company that seems to impress and surprise us every time we have a look at a different product we get from them. Whether it be Displays to HD's or MP3 players, each of their products seem to impress us with their features or performance. About 3 months ago we took a look at their Yepp-55V MP3 Player which we thought should be the MP3 player that sets the standard for MP3 players. Before that we had a look at two other LCD displays and were fairly impressed by the two. Now every time we receive a new product from Samsung we expect nothing less than the best. Not necessarily the highest end model but a product that performs and looks great and is packed with features. Well today we have the Samsung 152MP and we can definitely say it is feature packed. However will it be good enough to impress us once again? That we will find out later in the review. For now here is a brief explanation of what the 152MP is meant to be. Samsung SyncMaster 153B 15" LCD Monitor [Review, ExplosiveLabs]
Another day and yet another review of a Samsung LCD display. Yesterday we had a look at the multi-function SyncMaster 152MP display which impressed us quite a bit with its many capabilities and functions. Today we are not looking at any multi-function display but instead a budget based 15" displayed labeled the 153B. This display does not feature as many capabilities as the 152MP but is not meant to. With its suggested retail price of about $250 USD you of course cannot expect it to be feature packed. However that is not to say that it completely lacks any features or unique characteristics as it does not. Perhaps the selling point of this monitor will be its capability to be viewed in portrait mode. With the help of some software and a swiveling joint the 153B is capable of being viewed in portrait mode. Fri, 03 Oct, 2003 | 44 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
