Quote: Maxtor is supplying its first hard drives with a Serial ATA interface now. However, the DiamondMax Plus 9 was primarily designed for UltraATA/ 133, meaning that a converter chip is required to build the bridge to the new interface. This does not, however, have an adverse effect on performance.
