Quote:The Radeon X800 XL is designed to completely replace the Radeon X800 XT model which suffered from scant availability issues through out 2004. The X800 XL runs at slightly slower clock speeds compared to the ill-dated X800 XT, but also comes with a much lower MSRP (Which, well, isn't even close to current market pricing). Still, over time, X800 XL appear as if they will be less expensive compared to the X800 XT cards they aim to replace, while the X850 XT commands top dollar in the ultra-high end segment. At today’s pricing, the Radeon X800 XL is priced right up against nVidia’s GeForce 6800 GT PCIe card, making it a perfect time to run a comparison between these (and many other) cards.
