Quote:Today at GamePC we're looking at this issue from two separate angles. On one side, we have Samsung's new Syncmaster 172X, which is the first screen on the market to boast a pixel refresh of 12ms. This monitor is certainly aimed at gamers and power users, and is one of the most expensive 17" LCD monitors on the market. On the other side, we grabbed an E-Yama 17NE1-S 17" LCD, which is a relatively unknown model here in the U.S, but it boasts a pixel refresh rate of 14ms, and costs about 1/3rd less in comparison to the 172X. Considering the pure pixel refresh rates of the screens, both should be fantastic at games, but is that really the case? Let's investigate further.
