ATi Remote Wonder II : Review

Added to the directory: Fri, 16 Apr, 2004. Source: Bytesector.

Quote: ATI is a leading competitor in the video card market, alongside NVIDIA. In 2002 they brought out the Remote Wonder (RWI) multimedia remote control along with the Radeon 8500. Today I will take a look its successor, the Remote Wonder II. The Remote Wonder II has undergone a few changes, comes with a new button arrangement, and a new receiver. It supports a 60 foot range using RF frequency (operating at 433 MHz) which has been doubled from the original 30 feet. The remote itself is much longer than the original, but uses fewer batteries and therefore less power. Let’s take a closer look at the finer details of this remote and see if it’s worth upgrading.
