Quote:Remote control for the PC is not new but neither is it particularly common. Companies like Creative have bundled remote control into some of their top range products, but these are the exceptions rather than the norm. Until recently the need for a PC remote control has been limited, mainly due to the fact users are usually sat in front of their computers with all controls within arms reach. But things, they are a changing. More and more people are now starting to make real use of their PC's multimedia facilities. What was once considered something that only students away at university did, is now finding a place in the home, even the living room. Using the PC as a HiFi, DVD player, even a complete home theatre system is common now, and all of those devices have traditionally been remotely controlled! That said, there is a surprising dearth of add-on remote control systems for the 21st century PC.
