Quote: We took a first look at Tyan's super-sized dual Opteron workstation platform, the Thunder K8W, a few weeks back. We found the platform to be a little on the "early" side, but now that shipping versions of the BIOS are out there, and AMD has finally released full (and certified) chipset and AGP drivers, we're taking a quick second look at this motherboard. We also now have a good set of 400 MHz ECC/Registered modules, which will also show improved performance on this platform.
