Quote: The CPU socket uses AMD's new retention mechanism with a metal plate on the back bolting it in. It will be harder to find a more secure heatsink retention method. Below the socket are the bulk of the capacitors and voltage regulators in the area. A 4 pin power connector is just to the bottom right of the socket, and while the board will power up with a 3200+ without it plugged in the more power the better particularly if overclocking.
