Not too long ago, I saw an article in TIME magazine that talked about a company that was recovering data from hard drives that had been put through, let’s say, unusual circumstances. One hard drive was shot with a pistol, and the data recovery company was successfully able to pull the data from the drive, or at least what was left of it.
