AMD64 Overclocking Guide [Guide, overclockersonline]
Many are intimidated by this subject and they shouldn't be.
Overcloc1king is simple and painless but much like dinner at the in-laws, it
can be a long and tedious process. Some refer to overclocking as an art
form, if it is then call me Picasso or Monet and consider this guide to be
oc101. I figured it was high time to write up a comprehensive and in-depth
guide as this comes up far to often in forums not only here but everywhere.
I will concentrate on overclocking the AMD64 processor today on a Windows
based machine...let's get started. Thu, 22 Sep, 2005 | 31 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Speeze Owlstream 2 review [Review, moddingworld]
A great looking and performing cpu cooler that should satisfy all your cpu cooling needs. It knocked the cpu temperatures down a considerable amount from the stock coolers temperatures. Its great looks and build quality are just the tip of the iceberg. I award this cooler... Sun, 01 Aug, 2004 | 44 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
System Blower Slot Fan [Review, maxhardware]
One of the main culprits of system crashes is heat. With the System Blower Slot Fan you can fix this problem. The system blower fan is rated at 3200 rpm and moves 42cfm. Installation is very simple, even a novice can do it. All that is required for installation is placing the fan in a free PCI slot, preferably under your video card, and then plug in the molex connector. Overclocking Your P4 800FSB [How-To, DevHardware]
Today on Dev Hardware's OC Addiction, we're going to give you a little tutorial on overclocking your new 800FSB Pentium 4. It seems these types of systems are getting much more popular, and people are getting rather insane clock speeds out of their hardware. With the 2.4C's and i865PE / 875P boards, it's almost like a return to the days of the Celeron 300A and 440BX mobo's. Fifty percent overclocks are not exactly commonplace, but with the right hardware combinations, it's definitely achievable. So, without further ado, lets get this party started. Overclocking the AMD Athlon64 3200+ - ASUS K8V Deluxe [Article, LostCircuits]
After the somewhat disappointing overclocking experience with the initial BIOS revision of the ASUS K8V and the Athlon64 3200+, we used the latest production BIOS Rev. 1003 that, amongst other new features allows manual changing of the frequency and voltage ID (FID and VID). Overall, the new BIOS greatly increases stability as well as overclocking potential, after all, we were able to crank up the speed to 240 MHz and run 100% stable at 235 MHz. Cool & Overclocked [Guide, SystemCooling]
The other day I was sitting around with nothing better to do, so I decided to put together a system out of some of the unused parts sitting around the test lab to use as a cruncher for the Seti@home DC project. As it was going together, it occurred to me that for all the overclocking going on in the lab, and all the tinkering I'd done, on literally dozens of machines, I had never once done a full comparison of the overclocking potential of a completely stock cooling system versus the premium cooling that equipped most of the lab machines. As a matter of fact, I couldn't recall ever doing ANY overclocking of any of the systems with the stock cooling in place. Since I had all the components right in front me, I decided to do just such a comparison Tue, 23 Sep, 2003 | 113 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail

Enjoy Overclocking through Gigabyte’s C.I.A. and M.I.B [Article, Thetechzone]
Gigabyte Technology has developed some new speed and overclocking technologies for use on their upcoming motherboards. The names sound very "government intelligence," but I'm sure that's to make them memorable! Read what Gigabyte have to say about C.I.A. and M.I.B. here. Overclocking the Opteron 246 [Article, amdzone]
Our goal was to reach at least 2.2GHz and if possible 2.4GHz so that we could mimic the rumored release speeds of the Athlon 64 which by all accounts will be merely a rebadged Opteron initially until the Socket 754 version comes available. Before we begin here is a wrapup of our Opteron and nForce 3 testing so far. Mon, 11 Aug, 2003 | 261 Click(s) | Detail
ECS Desknote O/C II [Article, Monster hardware]
I surfed around and found a post by someone (in the [H] Forums I think) who removed his IHS by sliding a piece of thread back and forth, using it as a saw around the edges, until he could lift it off. I thought this was a good idea, simply because I won't have to worry about scratching the surface of the cpu, and wrecking it. So off I went and started back and forth movements with a piece of thread and slowly cut away at the black glue holding the IHS in place. In the picture below you can see me making some progress, about 20 minutes into the project... Fri, 25 Jul, 2003 | 60 Click(s) | Detail
