Cooler Master Stacker STC-T01 [Review, Hexus]
It takes all ATX mainboards you'll ever throw at it, it can be converted to BTX without much fuss, it takes two power supplies. The list goes on. I mentioned that the Stacker's size would afford its creators options for new and useful internal case cooling schemes, if they were smart. Cooler Master are smart, the X-Flow fan really doing the job in terms of keeping the mainboard area cool with the minimum of created noise. NZXT Guardian Case Review [Review, extensiontech]
Having seen a NZXT Guardian case previous to the influx of reviews on the internet, I quickly contacted NZXT for a review sample. I was excited, because I had not seen anything quite like this before. Being a reviewer, I noticed a few slight flaws right away, but I needed to do a through look over before I passed any judgment. Ultra X-Connect 500 Watt Modular Power Supply [Review, Bjorn3d]
Ever since I first saw modular power supplies at several modding supply stores
on the WWW, I was hooked and had to have one. After several failed attempts to
get one for review, I just decided it was a luxury I didn't need. Then, several
months ago I noticed that several companies, namely Ultra and Antec, were going
to release a mass produced modular PSU. This obviously wouldn't be the first
time that a company 'borrowed' an idea started by modders, but it's one that I
strongly welcome. I love the clean looks and flexibility offered by modular
PSUs. As a matter of fact, I hope that most PSUs go this route in the near
future. It just makes too much sense not to. Sat, 06 Nov, 2004 | 42 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Antec NeoPower 480 [Review, Bjorn3d]
Another trend that is obvious to those of us who follow modding, even if just a
little, is the increasing demand for so-called 'modular' PSUs. A modular PSU is
one that allows you to connect only the cables that you need for your system,
thus reducing clutter and hopefully increasing airflow inside your case. This
type of unit allows for instant customization and a great amount of
flexibility. At first, modular PSUs were only seen at online retailers that
offer custom products and modding supplies. Now, there are several modular PSUs
being mass produced, and one of those is the NeoPower 480 from Antec. Sat, 30 Oct, 2004 | 51 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Lian-Li PC-V1000 Aluminum Case [Review, Bjorn3d]
So you like the engine, the interior, stereo, cupholders, and those awesome
heated seats for the wintertime to keep your butt nice and toasty.....so why
the heck is your car so freakin' ugly!?!??!?! You have the innards, but the
outards are not too good-looking to please those old tired eyes of yours. As
with cars, the same could be said with your PC. You have the latest vid card, a
terabyte of storage, and the biggest and baddest processor on the block, but
that case looks like an old Apple IIe that just died its last death. Don't keep
killing your style with that ugly case of yours; get something with a little
more flair, pizzazz, and any other redundant word you want to use to describe a
sweet looking case like the Lian Li PC-V1000. All-aluminum, sleek, fast, and
flashy as hell! This is just what you need to put a new spark into your blah PC
life. Oh yeah, it's functional too; don't want to leave that out, do I??!! The
great people at Monarch Computer Systems have been generous enough to allow me
to take a look at the PC-V1000 and its add-on window side panel. Many thanks go
out to them for their contribution. Sat, 30 Oct, 2004 | 56 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Ultra Products UV X-Connect 500W Power Supply [Review, Pimprig]
You have to respect a company that doesn't rest on its laurels. Ultra Products is having great success with their X-Connect modular power supply, it seems to be a great hit with modder's as well as performance junkie's. However, Ultra still sought for ways to improve their flagship product. Ergo, the X-Connect UV power supply. The original X-Connect is mighty purdy and performs exceptionally well, but users had some suggestions to improve it. Ultra has incorporated a couple of those improvements in this version; namely the UV windows and the expanded cable color. I would also imagine that some of the internals would have matured since my first X-Connect review, we'll see if that is the case. Sat, 30 Oct, 2004 | 33 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Ultra Products Xconnect 500W PSU [Review, Bigbruin]
Ultra Products is a relatively new name on the computer component market, but has jumped right into the scene with some interesting and innovative products. From lighting modifications, to MP3 players, to DDR memory, they seem to have a little bit of everything in their expanding line-up of products. Perhaps their most innovative product is the item lined up for this review, the Ultra Products Xconnect 500 Watt ATX Power Supply. Sat, 30 Oct, 2004 | 19 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail

Chenming ATX-602 Aluminium Case Review [Review, Rojakpot]
What makes a good case? Build quality? Accessibility? Space? The enthusiast would probably choose all of those criteria. Of course, it should also be reasonably priced, for those of us not blessed with deep pockets!
This brings us to the Chenming ATX-602 Aluminium Case. It’s certainly one of the cheaper all-aluminium case in the market. But is that its only advantage? We think not. Find out why this case impressed us so much that we gave it our Reviewer’s Award! Mon, 25 Oct, 2004 | 51 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Cooler Master TAC-T01EK Wave Master [Review, Hexus]
I've been pining after a quality aluminium chassis with a door for
my ugly beige opticals, that's aesthetically pleasing to the eye (to my own
tastes of course) and that doesn't break the bank. I think the Wave Master
fits the bill. Sat, 16 Oct, 2004 | 51 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Kingwin Mutant X Case [Review, Bjorn3d]
Wanting to get away from the sometimes boring and average looking cases that
are out on the market, Kingwin designed the Mutant X case for those who want to
be a little on the wild side. Many of today's cases have a plain or modern and
sterile look to them that may not appeal to everyone. The Mutant X is
definitely not that type of case. Let's dive in and see what makes Kingwin's
Mutant X stand out from the rest of the crowd! Tue, 28 Sep, 2004 | 36 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Silverstone Temjin III (TJ-03) [Review, Hexus]
In all honesty my first impressions of the SilverStone TJ-03 were very high. There are a few areas that I’m not 100% happy with but let’s hope SilverStone keep producing stunning cases and make them readily available within the UK. It’s always nice to see full aluminium cases being released with great attention to detail and superb features. Along with these features is a nice price tag too. When I looked last it was possible to buy this case for around $255 in America. At the current conversion rate that is £130. Not a bad price in my opinion for a full aluminium tower case. Zalman Poweroid TNN 500A PC / Poweroid Silent PC [Review, Hexus]
Quietness is generally a subjective issue, yet I feel confident in stating that the Zalman / Poweroid combination can't be heard above normal background noise. It's nice to hear birds chirp 30 feet away. It's nice not to have to dial the stereo up when listening to music, and it's nice that such quietness can be achieved without having to compromise performance. OCZ PowerStream 470W Power Supply [Review, Bjorn3d]
Since entering the memory market four years ago, OCZ Technology has gained a
lot of respect (and probably a large following) in the PC enthusiast crowd.
Since breaking into the memory market was a successful endeavor for OCZ, the
company decided to branch out and start offering other products that
enthusiasts look for, like silver-based thermal compound, CPU coolers, and RAM
heatsinks. One of OCZ's latest ventures is in the power supply market (press
release). The PowerStream line of power supplies is OCZ's attempt at gaining a
new following of high-quality power enthusiasts. Sun, 01 Aug, 2004 | 58 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Coolermaster Centurion 5 CAC-T05
The biggest deal about the Centurion 5, as far as Cooler Master are concerned anyway, is the tool-free nature of the chassis. The only time you'll need a screwdriver is to secure the motherboard, everything else, including getting into the case and installing hard disk drives and optical devices, requiring nothing more than deft fingers. Hiper HSU-3S350 Power Supply [Review, Hexus]
With a price of ~£40 inc VAT in the U.K. from a number of retailers, combined with respectable, if not earth-shattering, performance, the Hiper isn't a bad PSU by any means. The cheap is bad mantra in the budget PSU space doesn't apply here. Sun, 18 Jul, 2004 | 68 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Thermaltake Tsunami Aluminum Case (VA3000) [Review, Overclockercafe]
Thermaltake's line of cases have been varying offshoots of the same basic design concept for the past several model releases, the Xaser V, Skull, LANMOTO, Xaser III and LANFIRE. While the features have differed somewhat between models, being specifically tailored toward a particular niche, the style has always been recognizable as that of the very successful Thermaltake Xaser design. With their newest case, the Tsunami, Thermaltake is looking to keep the features that have made their case lineup so successful but add a completely new look to the recipe. The Tsunami is effectively a Tt LANMOTO case with some slick looking aesthetic changes to the front bezel. Today, we take a look inside and out of the new Thermaltake Tsunami case to see how it stacks up against its predecessors and the market as a whole. On to the white paper. Thermaltake Tsunami Dream VA3000 series computer case [Review, a1-electronics]
Yet another superbly well made and thought out computer case from Thermaltake this Tsunami Dream. When it comes to choice we prefer the Silver version but that is just us.
