  • Xoxide X-Viper   [Review, SubZeroTech]
In today’s high-tech world, PC enthusiasts are focused on performance, noise, and benchmark scores; right? Nuh uh, you forgot looks. For the past year or so it seems PC enthusiasts have forgotten about good ol’ power and punch, and have welcomed a sleek look. Just about every enthusiast nowadays has a window on their side panel, whether it’s pre-modified or they added it themselves; it’s there! Modifying your own case takes a lot of work and planning. Therefore some people skip the hassle and invest their money in a pre-modded case. Will today’s X-Viper relieve modding stress, or turn out just as painful? Let’s find out!

  • Balanced Technology eXtended (BTX) Form Factor - The Future of Cases & Motherboards   [Article, AnandTech]
As is made evident by the proliferation of Small Form Factor (SFF) machines into the market, the need for a smaller, quieter successor to ATX has been building over the past 8 years. A couple of IDFs ago, Intel announced their development of the successor to ATX, which was codenamed Big Water. At the Fall 2003 Intel Developer Forum, Intel officially branded Big Water as the Balanced Technology eXtended form factor - or BTX for short.

  • Enermax CS-EN5688 Case Review   [Review, 3dXtreme]
Today 3dXtreme has the great pleasure of reviewing one of the new Enermax CS-EN5688/517 cases. These cases come in a variety of colors, configurations and options. Like yellow? Sure you can have that, how about blue? Yup, they have that too. Will white fit your décor better? Guess what, Enermax has thought of you too. Each of the cases in this series comes with a prefabed plexi-glass side panel window, lots of fan holes, front USB connections, High Gloss Automotive Paint finish and front access I/O audio jacks. That's just the tip of the iceberg; did I mention they are also aluminum? So a great looking case out of the box, that's not only light weight but also sexy and sheik.

  • ATHENATECH A747BW DESIGNER COMPUTER CASE   [Review, TweakNews]
Computer cases in today's computer market are entrenched into two categories. One is the expensive enthusiast market which is comprised of the higher end aluminum series which contain numerous features with a high price tag of easily over US$100. And then there is the OEM sector that is made of the bland, beige steel tanks that are made to be adequate for high volume computer companies that need a cheap case to maximize profits.

  • Chenbro XPIDER Gaming "Bomb" Case   [Review, OverclockerCafe]
Normally we jump right into a review with specs, which we are going to do now. I hate to begin a review off by popping the manufacturer but this deserves a firm slap on the hand. Some months back we noticed occasional discrepancies as to size and weight with what products were billed as and what they did actually weigh or measure. Hence, you will more often than not see us list dimensions and weight as "observed dimensions" in the specs we list. As in, we weighed and measured it ourselves. For 95% of you this really doesn't matter much but the other 5% are the folks looking for a specific size case for a specific purpose. Notice below what Chenbro claims the case size is and what we measured. Need I say more?

  • Cooler Master Wavemaster   [Review, hexus]  Most popular reviews and articles
I’d expect that if you have been regular readers of HEXUS.net you will know we are great fans of Cooler Master cases and try to review each case they release. Over the past few years Cooler Master have been the leaders in aluminium computer cases. I suppose they are what I would call, the Rolls Royce of computers. Recently they have launched 2 new cases. The Wave Master and The Centurion. Previous Cooler Master cases have always been named using numbers, e.g. 201B, 210B, 710, etc. With the launch of these 2 brand new cases, Cooler Master have decided to stray away from the old naming convention and start to use a different format. The Wave Master is labelled TAC-T01. I’m assuming this won’t be used much and the case will just be known as the Cooler Master Wave Master.

  • Review: Antec Minuet   [Review, SubZeroTech]
Antec is at it again, this time, with the Lifestyle series of enclosures. The series has three very good looking cases; the Minuet, Sonata, and Overture. Each is coated in a piano black finish, which I must say, is very appealing. This company never seems to disappoint me. Every new series of cases have that of the highest quality and appearance. I hope this holds true for what I plan to review today.

  • CASE4U EOS MINI-ITX / MICRO-ATX CASE   [Review, TweakNews]
For a small inexpensive case, the EOS does have some value. The case is well built (although heavy), attractive and wouldn't be a bad choice for an inexpensive small workstation, HTPC or a file server. The questionable inclusion of the Anion Air Purifier is a good idea, but I really think that it could be removed and the money placed in other parts of the case.

  • Kingwin K-11 Aluminum Case   [Review, SystemCooling]
Last time I reviewed an aluminum case, it was the all-new Kingwin KT-424. Reading the review you would know that I was extremely impressed with its quality, design and overall look. If it too impressed you, but was simply out of your reach because of the price or its size, then I’d like to show you the next best thing, the K-11.

  • LIAN LI PC-60H3 MID-TOWER DESIGNER ALUMINUM CASE   [Review, TweakNews]
In the enthusiast and high end computing market, no one settles for anything other than an aluminum case to wrap around their prized high performance computer. Why is that? Well, for one the weight difference is night and day. Seeing that the case is a significant contributor to overall computer weight, reducing its weight will only make it easier to transport to and from your office or a Lanparty. Secondly, with a higher performance computer, your computer probably is overclocked or just a stock screamer and with a rise in speed, you always get a rise in the emitted heat. Aluminum cases are great for efficiently dissipating some of the excess heat through through the case side and top panels. If you even lay your hand on an aluminum case, chances are it's a little warm. Why is that? It is transferring the inside heat to the outside where it can be radiated into the room air.

  • Seasonic Super Silencer 400W PSU   [Review, Bigbruin]
Having only one fan greatly reduces the noise emitted from this power supply but does not seem to reduce the cooling effect of the unit itself. The large aluminum heatsinks used to transfer heat from the components up into the airflow works as it should.

  • Akasa Crystal Blue Acrylic Case   [Review, Systemcooling]
Acrylic cases are nothing new; they come in an assortment of different colours, shapes and sizes. But if you think you’ve seen them all then think again. Today I’ll be showing you a brand new case from Akasa, the AK MCHCB Crystal Blue. And what makes the Crystal Blue special is that fact that it’s built for a micro-ATX motherboard and it’s been flipped totally upside down.

  • X-Superalien Aluminum Case   [Review, Ocaddiction]

  • Aspire X-Superalien Full Tower Case   [Review, Hardcoreware]
While their cases aren't as radically altered from the original Chen Ming designed towers as the Alienware cases, they still carry the alien head theme many people love. To top it all off, the X-Superalien has a ton of features added to it that many have been looking for on Chen Ming based cases - rotated HDD mounts, motherboard tray, and more.

  • Enermax CS-5688 Case   [Review, Bit tech]
Today I'm checking out this baby sent to me from Maxpoint/Enermax, the CS-56881LBFS-OY (I'll give you ten guesses what the "Y" stands for in the model number). Enermax has an excellent reputation in enthusiast circles for their high-end PSU's and their notoriety for cases has been mainly for the bold "robot cases" with the slanted front. This is a more traditional approach with some new tricks.

  • Enermax Whipser EG365AX-VE(W) 350W Power Supply   [Review, Thetechlounge]
nermax has been producing top notch PSUs for some time. They are stable, reliable, and powerful. These days power supplies are more than just power supplies; they are an extension of your case. We like the pretty cases with the automotive coating and fan controllers and quiet yet powerful operation. Lately I have seen some fancy looking PSUs that break away from the standard gray box, and a new market is opening up. Enermax, being one of the top power supply manufacturers sees this, and will be damned if they don't have some fun with it. Today I will be taking a look at the latest PSU from Enermax, the Whisper EG365AX-VE(W) 350W PSU which sports a sleek blue automotive paint job, temperature and manual controlled fan speed, "Whisper" quiet operation, and the usual Enermax quality.

Today, we’ll look at the very interesting Enermax CS-517LBFS-B+ steel (front bezel manufactured of aluminum) Mid-Tower case. I say interesting, because it has the glossiest automotive type finish I’ve seen on any case, plus a slew of innovative and downright cool features, not to mention the low suggested retail price of around $ 80.00 US, and that includes a power supply.
