Cooler Master CM Stacker 830 Review [Review, hardwarelogic]
Last week we looked at Cooler Master's Praetorian 730. While the
build quality was outstanding, the Praetorian 730 lacked something
today's enthusiasts crave....space. The CM Stacker 830 is definitely the
Cadillac of today's cases. Featuring the build quality typically
associated with Cooler Master, plus a lot more....read on to find out
more about this super sweet.... and super expensive case. Fri, 31 Mar, 2006 | 5 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail

Ultra Aluminus ATX Mid-Tower Case [Review, overclockersonline]
Ultra, however, has managed to design a case that can be both be
trusted with my hardware and also stand out at a LAN party. There is a lot
to like about the Aluminus. Somewhere between the amazing paint job,
flawlessly finished, the super easy and efficient installation, the roomy
interior, the wiring options, the oversized window, and the rubber grommets,
greatness ensues. Sun, 26 Mar, 2006 | 3 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Cooler Master Praetorian 730 Case Review [Review, hardwarelogic]
First, like the Wave Master before it, the Praetorian 730 is
hindered by a small interior. While installing my system in the case I
had issues with stowing the PSU's excess wiring and routing cables to my
HDD and video cards. Anyone using a newer (7900 or X1900 video cards)
will also probably face issues with the cards butting up against the
HDD. I don't recommend this case for anyone considering a Crossfire or
SLI build as there simply isn't enough room for it to be practical. I
also think the duct, while great in theory, is more of a hinderance than
a help as it will not match up with all motherboards and simply won't
allow for most aftermarket cooling solutions.
Having said all of that, I think that the Cooler Master Praetorian 730
is perfect for anyone building a non overclocked or simple system (think
one video card, one HDD, and stock cooling). Tue, 14 Mar, 2006 | 14 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Seasonic 250w "Super Versitile" PSU Review [Review, hardwarelogic]
In short, the Seasonic 250W "Super Versatile" PSU has really impressed
me. I wasn't expecting a lot of performance out of a "puny" 250 watt
PSU, but this little engine that could powered my system beautifully.
The voltage rails remained rock solid even under full load, operation
was cool and quiet, and the accessory bundle was rich. Unless you plan
on running a fast dual core processor (PentiumD or FX-60) or high end
graphics card (7900GTX or X1900XTX), the SS-250SVP is a great little PSU
that seems like it woul be perfectly suited in the HTPC market and
should be capable of running most any fairly modest system of today. Tue, 14 Mar, 2006 | 5 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Antec P180 [Review, overclockersonline]
From the delivery forward it has been a rollercoaster ride of
highs and lows. I think the strengths of the P180 outweigh the many
weaknesses, but only by a small margin. And when you factor in cost and
the need for a power supply with specific cable lengths I think you need
to really consider whether this is the case for you. But if you know all
of the information going in and are shopping for an attractive, quality
case, I think the P180 should be on your short list of high-end enclosures. Thu, 09 Mar, 2006 | 9 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
Asys Freedom Tower Full Case [Review, pro-clockers]
Every once in a while a company come alone that makes a big splash on the computer community. And I think that this is one of those 'once in a while'. Contacted Asys and they granted me any opportunity to review one of there cases. The Freedom. Read the rest of this article to see if quality is what they sent me. Thermaltake 600w PurePower Power Supply Review [Review, hardwarelogic]
Looking at the 600w PurePower, there's a lot to like and very
little to criticize. The reflective mirror finish simply looks
fantastic, the cables are neatly sleeved in black mesh, there are enough
gold plated easy release molex connectors to keep the upgrade options
open, and the variable speed 120mm auto adjustable fan is virtually
silent during normal operation. From a performance standpoint, my test
sample handled both overclocking and voltage adjustments without so much
as breaking a sweat. Rated at 600 watts with a generous 52A spread
across three +12V rails, the 600w PurePower can not only accomodate
today's systems, but has enough headroom to address the needs of
tomorrow's components as well. In fact, the only minor complaint I can
come up is the lack of user adjustable rails, which is almost a moot
point considering the rock solid operation displayed during testing -
the rails just would not budge, which is a sign of a well designed power
supply. Thermaltake has a real winner on their hands in the 600w
PurePower and any enthusiast looking for a high end solution would do
well to put this high on their short list of power supplies. Thu, 02 Mar, 2006 | 5 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail

Scythe Kamariki-2 550 Watt Power Supply [Review, pro-clockers]
There are many people out there that don’t really care about modular power supplies or just don’t believe that they provide the stability that they need. So that is a reason why companies like OCZ, PC Power and Cooling, Enermax and others non-modular power supplies dominate the market. Another company that is determined to make a name for themselves beside these other companies is Scythe. Known for arguably the best heatsink out right now, the Ninja, Scythe is introducing the Kamariki-2 to the US market. This is bound to stir up a little something. DIY HD HTPC Extravaganza - Part 1: The Cases [Roundup, denguru]
The last time we took a crack at building a Home Theater PC (HTPC), we opted for a slimline case from Hiper. However, this resulted in many problems with hardware installation and heat dissipation inside the case. Since then, numerous other vendors have introduced new cases designed specifically for Home Theater PC (HTPC) use, so we thought it was time to build another HTPC! Lian-Li PC777 / PC777-B Anniversary Chassis [Review, hardwarelogic]
Functionally, the 20th Anniversary Memorial Model Lian-Li PC777-B is
very sound. The circular design combined with the various mesh grilles
keeps the air flowing diligently over the components housed within.
One may think that the optical drives located at the top would tend to
get a bit toasty, but surprisingly this did not happen. Even with the
system running at load, the top of the chassis on each side of the
opticals remain cool to the touch. Lian-Li evidently knew what they
were doing when they came up with this unique shape and it's paying off
in the form of thermal management. Wed, 22 Feb, 2006 | 11 Click(s) | Related: Reviews or Talks | Detail
