  • mCubed T-Balancer Fan Controller   [Review, Bjorn3d]
If there is one single thing that irritates me the most in a PC it is noise. True, after a while you get used to some of the noise but it is always there in the background giving you a headache and just annoying you.

  • Noise Isolator PWM Fan Controller Review   [Review, BigBruin]
Noise Isolator may not be a well known company, but they have a growing line of computer accessories that includes noise control products, water cooling, lan party gear, and fan controllers. For a previous review, Jab-Tech sent over the Noise Isolator 3.5” rheobus, and today they have sent over the newest Noise Isolator rheobus, the PWM Fan Controller. Although the selection of fan controllers seems to increase on a daily basis, the Noise Isolator PWM Fan Controller offers a few interesting features that make it stand out amongst the others.

  • Orac³ - Part 3   [Mod, Bit-Tech]
This third article in the series is where things start getting exciting and I begin to realise the massive amount of work I have taken on with this project. I got bogged down a little during this phase of construction and finishing it, after numerous setbacks, really did feel like reaching the top of a hill and seeing what lies beyond. Unfortunately the sense of achievement passed quickly and the view left me unmotivated to continue modding for about two weeks (it looked like more hills)! However, continue I did and the results will be visible in the next article.

  • Orac³ - Part 4   [Mod, Bit-Tech]
Welcome to Part 4 in the series of articles covering the ORAC³ project. Here you will see me beginning what I would call the final stages of the project. This is where the modding of practically every part becomes dependent on the modding of another part, as they all have to fit together like a big 3D Jigsaw Puzzle with space fast running out.

  • Sunbeam Lighting Accessories   [Review, Gruntville]
Case lighting is absolutely the most popular pick of the modding community; outside case’s that is. Case lighting is here to stay and we are here to keep up with the new products released. Sunbeam has been offering cutting edge mod accessories since their inception and has some nice twists to throw at you. Once again they have what it takes to shine. We’re going to take a quick look at 3 new products. They sent us 3 lighted fan grills all of which utilize different lighting techniques along with their new UV reactive Molex plugs. I’m a big fan of UV despite how horrible it is on your eyes and really look forward to seeing what they have to offer my current mods.

  • Ultra Products Media Dashboard   [Review, nextgenelectronics]
Many people out there aren't crazy modders who build there computer cases out of recycled jet fighters or clear acrylic or whatever else people do these days. A lot of consumers are looking to upgrade their system one component at a time. The idea of having front side USB 2.0 as well as front side IEEE 1394 (FireWire) is very exciting, but some cases don't come with this feature, while other are intimidated by plugging in 32,490 little tiny plugs into the motherboard in an absolute exact science. Ultra Products has come to the market with a very neat little solution (literally) in the form of their Media Dashboard which fits inside your 3.5" bay in your computer. What it offers is not only front side USB 2.0 (2 ports) and a FireWire port, but also inputs for your headphones, microphone, and S/PDIF as well.

  • PC Toys SystemMaxx Multifunction Panel   [Review, BigBruin]
PC Toys has not been around for very long, but you would never know that by looking at their impressive list of products. They have everything from power supplies and cases to cables; but they specialize in items that optimize your personal computer, and make it just that personal. The product I picked up was the SystemMaxx Multifunction Panel, which adds digital display of three temperatures, control of fan speed and pass thru of USB 2.0 and Firewire.

  • Tweakmonster Biohazard EL Window Appliqué   [Review, ExtensionTech]
Once the novelty of having a window in your case wore off, modders began searching for ways to spruce up that boring piece of Plexiglas (or Lexan). Besides changing the shape of the window, designs started to show up on the windows. There was either an appliqué that you sponged on like a temporary tattoo, or window etches, either by hand or machine. At about four inches square, these lighted appliqués won't fill up your window, but they are perfect for smaller projects and case accents.

  • Vantec Nexus NXP-305 Fan and Light Controller   [Review, Gruntville]
You want to control the screaming fans that are keeping your high-end computer cool. You want to add some cool blue CCFL lights. However, you don’t have a free 5/25” drive bay for one of those cool rheobus devices, nor are you good enough with electronics to wire your own switch. You are sitting there, looking at your case that has no 5.25 drive bays available thinking “What am I going to do?” Then as your gaze slides down your case, you see it, that blank 3.5” drive bay cover, right below your floppy drive. That is when it dawns upon you, if someone made a fan & light controller that could fit into the 3.5” bay, it would rock.

  • 3.5" Fan Controller with USB 2.0   [Review, Gruntville]
Fans, love them or hate them, they're in almost every computer. Even water-cooled computers have a fan or two cooling the radiator. Fans come in just about every shape, size, and color you can imagine. With fans, also comes noise. Not too many people like noise. Although I find myself a bit on the neutral side, if I can make them quieter without overheating my computer…I will. Enter the rheobus, goddess of all quiet computing. Just in case you've been on Mars (or still are) then let me bring you up to speed on what a rheobus is. A rheobus allows you to adjust the voltage going to your fan(s), thus allowing you to make them quieter. The only downside to this is that your fans now push less air.

  • Cooler Master Musketeer   [Review, TheTechLounge]
Since I started reviewing, I have seen many functional 5.25” panels come across my desk. I must say that this is probably the most unique I have seen as of yet. Strangely enough, it seems Cooler Master has made a sort of ‘trophy’ product. What I mean is that, at least at first glance, the device doesn’t appear to be of much use, but it is surely a looker.

This is an audio review. Click the below link after this section to get the audio MP3 portion of the review. Interactivity would help while you are listening to the review. The MP3 is around 1800 kb. I'd really prefer if you right clicked, then selected save target as, and downloaded it to where you can find it. If you cannot play mp3's, I suggest you go get Winamp. It is free. Enjoy the review.

  • SVC Chrome Sleeving   [Review, Gruntville]
With the incredible sleeving guide Hobbes brought us, we felt it was time to take a look at some of the sleeving on the market. As many of you already know, my most recent mod was polishing up my case. I was looking for something that would fit the latest theme and came across some chrome sleeving at SVC and knew it was what I wanted to use. I was curious if it would actually be as shiny as real chrome since I knew it was on plastic and was also interested to find out if it would flake off.

  • Voyeurmods Custom Side & Top Case Panels   [Review, SystemCooling]
These days, windowed cases are a dime a dozen. But what do you do if you already have a case you like just fine, but want to add a window to it? You have a couple of choices. You can either go the do it yourself route, either from scratch or by way of a window kit, or, if you have an Chieftec/Chenming/Antec tower case, you can buy pre-modded side and top panels, such as the units from Voyeurmods that we’ll be to looking at today.

  • Vantec Nexus Fan Controller   [Review, Hexus]
The past year I have reviewed many Vantec products. I always find they are well built, with great functionality and these elements usually make a very successful product. In recent week’s I have been asked to look at the new range of fan and light controllers that Vantec have released. The NXP-301 and NXP-305 are the latest additions to the Vantec family.

  • Sunbeam EL Wire Fan Grills Review   [Review, ExtensionTech]
Today we have a new innovation from Sunbeam that I haven't seen before in a fan grill. These new fan grills contain EL wire for lighting effects. While EL wire hasn't been the rage for general lighting effects in computer cases, EL wire justifies its purpose by highlighting. This is the first time that I have seen EL wire used in something such as a fan grill. Continue on as I'll show you the grill as well as my opinion on it.
