  • ATI All-In-Wonder X800 XT Review   [Review, Beyond3d]
ATI’s newest, high end board in their flagship line of multimedia boards, the All-In-Wonder X800 XT, has been heard of for some time but only seen fairly recently. Whilst the All-In-Wonder hasn’t stood still in terms of features, neither has the rest of ATI’s businesses here Beyond3D are taking a look at the new board to see what new functionality it offers over the previous generation. They also compare the 3D performance against the previous high end All-In-Wonder, the 9800 PRO, as well as ATI’s highest performance dedicated graphics board, the Radeon X850 XT Platinum Edition, to see if how the performance of the All-In-Wonder X800 XT compares.

  • HIS X850 XT PE IceQ II Dual DVI VIVO 256MB PCIe   [Review, Bjorn3d]
The quest for more speed and more power keeps going on. Not content with letting NVIDIA catch up to its Radeon X800 XT PE series, ATI has launched a series of new PCI-Express (PCIe) based cards. Today, we are reviewing a card from Hightech technology that uses the new speed king chip from ATI, the Radeon X850 XT PE.

  • Club 3D PCIe, AGP X800 XL´s & X850 PRO Review   [Review, Beyond3d]
In this article Beyond3D are taking a look at three relatively new ATI based boards from the vendor Club 3D. The first of the boards is based on ATI’s lower cost, high performance board, the Radeon X800 XL with some additional features thrown in by Club 3D. The second board is the third of board in the X850 line-up that has been little seen thus far, the 12-pipelined Radeon X850 PRO. The third board finally sees some more ATI based AGP offerings on the market with the RIALTO bridged AGP Radeon X800 XL.

  • Leadtek WinFast A6600GT (AGP GeForce 6600 GT)   [Review, Bjorn3d]
At a time when a $500 video card is not uncommon, many PC enthusiasts may find it hard to justify the need to spend that amount of money on one piece of hardware. NVIDIA's 6600 GPU is aimed at users who want some of the best performing hardware without having to sell their first-born to afford it. Leadtek has taken this technology and tossed it into a great package. The WinFast A6600GT TDH offers performance that almost matches that of the next generation's hardware, at a fraction of the cost.

  • ATI ALL-IN-WONDER X800 XT   [Review, Hexus]
ATI's Multimedia team took the time to get right a product that will appeal to many. Expensive in X800 XT guise (there are other X800 AIWs which I'll talk about in a separate article to come soon) but worth it if seriously fast 3D and excellent multimedia ability in a single slot is what you're after. MSRP is $499. Seriously recommended for the well-heeled enthusiast that wants the integration of performance and multimedia features in one small space.

  • Leadtek WinFast PX6800 GT TDH (GeForce 6800 GT)   [Review, Bjorn3d]
Every so often I like to do a review where I compare a high-end video card to a top-shelf mid-range card so that consumers can see what they get for usually about twice the price. The main focus of this review will be the Leadtek WinFast PX6800 GT TDH, but the secondary theme will be this comparison. I recently reviewed the Gigabyte 6600 GT, which is definitely a great mid-range card that many people would love to have. Thanks to Leadtek, I now have a 6800 GT that will allow me to do this high-end to mid-range comparison. Obviously, the 6800 GT should slap around the 6600 GT like a freshman in a locker room. That will not surprise anyone. The main thing I want to look at is if the price premium that the 6800 GT demands is worth it. For example, if 6800 GT performs less than 20% better than the 6600 GT on the majority of the benchmarks, perhaps paying twice as much for the higher-powered GPU is not worth it.

  • NVDIA SLI   [Article, Beyond3d]
Beyond3D takes a look at NVIDIA's new SLI solution. In the article they take a good look at this new form of SLI, first recapping over some of the previous multi-graphics solutions, looking at NVIDIA’s SLI and the modes it operates in as well as some of the issues that have to be tackled with parallel discrete graphics processing. On top of this we’ll also look at the performances from example of all the currently available SLI capable boards: 6600 GT, 6800, 6800 GT and 6800 Ultra.

  • nForce4 SLI, Real World System   [Article, Bjorn3d]
The first thing I want to point out is this is not just a review of SLI; I am going to look at several aspects of the nForce4 chipset. Also this is not a clean install machine being looked at. This is a REAL WORLD machine. It is loaded with all the tools I use for work and things that most computer users would have installed and running. So the performance numbers you see on things should show you how your machine would perform if you had the same system I have built.

It was only yesterday that we exclusively brought you news of a 512MB GeForce 6800 Ultra from Gainward. Today, it's ATi's turn, with a Radeon X850 boasting the very same capacious amount of graphics memory. HEXUS has obtained shots of the new card.

  • ATI's Radeon X800 256MB and Radeon X850 PRO   [Preview, Hexus]
When I interviewed ATI's Matt Skyner recently, we talked about availability of ATI's GPU products on both PCI Express and AGP. The general tone of his responses indicated that volume of new R480 and R430 products would be as high as possible and that ATI were also committed to bringing some of the PCI Express SKUs to AGP if the market required them. We've seen some evidence of that AGP endeavour recently with spy shots of RIALTO, and today I'm able to bring you further evidence of pervasive availability for R480 and R430 with a look at two new SKUs, one for each GPU.

Gainward have an exclusive SKU just for their SLI 'CoolFX' solutions. They have coupled the NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra GPU with 512MB of 1.6ns (1.2GHz) G-DDR3 memory on each of the boards. This coupled with the water cooled units, these cards of course will run on the PCI-E bus.

  • XFX 6600GT PCI-E Video Card   [Review, legitreviews]
The card itself is built upon an attractive blue PCB and looks like your typical PCI-E video card. Something I noticed was how "clean" or uncluttered this card is. The 6600GT core runs at 500MHz, so no special cooling is needed. You should also be able to make out the lack of a 4 pin power connector. Pretty sweet card with a very clean and simple layout...

  • Sapphire Radeon X800 XL   [Review, Bjorn3d]
MSRP of $299, huh? Yeah, right. That's a joke! Big time! I like to think of MSRP (manufacturer's suggested retail price) as the high point when it comes to actual retail pricing. Video cards prove that wishful thinking wrong all the time, but ATi's new kid on the block - the X800 XL - is selling for much higher than its announced MSRP. We all knew this card would rock (or rather violently shake) the successful NVIDIA 6800 GT boat if it really hit streets at $300. That's not happening though...try adding $100 to the MSRP. What was looking like a dead-on, hands-down lock for best-bang-for-the-buck glory is now on a more even playing field. At a street price of $400 though, the X800 XL makes for a great competitor for the similarly priced 6800 GT, which is exactly what it's meant to do. Does it make a great competitor as far as performance is concerned though? We have a Sapphire Radeon X800 XL here to find out.

  • MSI NX6600-VTD128E Diamond   [Review, Hexus]
The real jewel in the crown for this board, assuming it is indicative of these boards as a whole, is overclockability. If the price is right, then this part could become something of a darling for those looking for a bargain in the mid-range video card sector - A board cheaper than a 6600GT but overclockable to beyond 6600GT clocks would be coveted much like the GeForce 6800GT has been at the high-end.

  • 16 Pipes For All : Asus and Sapphire X800 XL Cards Compared   [Review, GamePC]
The Radeon X800 XL is designed to completely replace the Radeon X800 XT model which suffered from scant availability issues through out 2004. The X800 XL runs at slightly slower clock speeds compared to the ill-dated X800 XT, but also comes with a much lower MSRP (Which, well, isn't even close to current market pricing). Still, over time, X800 XL appear as if they will be less expensive compared to the X800 XT cards they aim to replace, while the X850 XT commands top dollar in the ultra-high end segment. At today’s pricing, the Radeon X800 XL is priced right up against nVidia’s GeForce 6800 GT PCIe card, making it a perfect time to run a comparison between these (and many other) cards.

  • HIS X700 Pro IceQ Turbo VIVO   [Review, Bjorn3d]
Want extreme cooling on your ATI-based video card without adding extra noise? Don't want to do it yourself? HIS and a few other companies want to help you out. These companies provide better-than-stock cooling solutions on ATI's latest and greatest graphics chips. You might be thinking that you'll just buy a board with a stock cooler and upgrade it yourself. That's cool (pun intended), but what about that warranty that says any modifications of the board voids it? I realize that hardcore modders probably couldn't care less about voiding a warranty, but I'm concerned about the newbie who reads some article about how some guy put his refrigerator on his brand new video card so he could overclock it to perform at levels that only boards twice as expensive can normally perform. The newbie probably wouldn't realize that if he makes changes to his board that an RMA department could recognize as modding, he's out of luck and has to buy a new board.
