More on the NVIDIA GeForce Go 7800 GTX

Turns out I wasn’t behind the times… the Go 7800 GTX was just launched today. I’ll have to try hard to resist a laptop with this sucker in it. I don’t game much the way it is, which means I’d game very little on a laptop, if at all.

A nice trend I’m noticing in my research today is that the 7800 GTX will be available not only in 12+lb monster laptops but also some slightly more portable 8-9lb’ers, like Sager’s NP5720. Man, that thing looks sweet. I wish I could go check it out somewhere.

Bad news for you anxious folks is that I’m not sure if these 7800 GTX-enabled laptops are shipping right away… The Sager NP5720 has an estimated ship date of Oct 28 and preorders don’t even start until Oct 12th!

Good news for those of you wanting dual core AMD loving in a laptop … and 7800 GTX tastiness … Sager (and a couple other vendors) has an laptop offering both of these technologies in one laptop. That would be the NP 9750 for those doing research. Look for these in November though!
